What is ergonomics?
1. Ergonomics is a relatively new concept. The term "ergonomics" was first used by Professor Wojciech Jastrzębowski in 1857, in the magazine "Nature and Industry", in his article "Ergonomics in a sketch, or theory of work based on laws derived from Nature". Studies on ergonomics were resumed as late as the 1960s, while in Poland the science was re-discovered in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and since that time it has imperceptibly forced its way into our homes and workplaces.
